Nottinghamshire’s dog-friendly accommodation is thinner than you’d expect for a county this size, with most leads needing a direct call to confirm — but a couple of genuinely solid, first-party-confirmed options stand out.
Verified on the operator’s own site
The Bowman, Hucknall (Greene King Inns) — confirmed via the operator’s own site: 34 en-suite rooms, with dog-friendly rooms allocated first-come-first-served, bookings must be made in advance, and a dog charge applies. Forest Holidays — Sherwood Forest, near Edwinstowe/Ollerton — confirmed via the operator’s own site: £15 per pet per night, roughly half the cabins at the site are pet-friendly (up to 4 dogs per cabin), dogs must be on a lead on site and registered at check-in, and never left unattended. Welbeck Estate, near Ollerton/Worksop, confirms three of its holiday cottages as dog-friendly on its own site — Mowerina, Short Croft and Stable Cottage.

Reported dog-friendly, but needs a direct check
Several real, named properties are reported dog-friendly by the Visit Nottinghamshire tourism board or other directories, but without a first-party fee or room-limit statement we could confirm: Hart’s Hotel and the Lace Market Hotel in Nottingham city centre, the Hilton Nottingham, ibis Nottingham Centre, Eastwood Hall, Cuckney House and The Winnings near Worksop, Bestwood Lodge Hotel, Langar Hall near Bingham, the Station Hotel in Worksop, the Crown Hotel in Southwell, the Best Western Plus West Retford Hotel, and the caravan/touring parks Milestone Caravan Park and Smeaton’s Lakes near Newark. One listing, Holbeck Farm Barns near Worksop, is flagged dog-friendly by the tourism board but not by Welbeck Estate’s own site — worth resolving with a call before booking either way.
Genuine gaps
We found no verified or even plausible dog-friendly hotel, B&B or named accommodation in Bingham, West Bridgford, Beeston, Sutton-in-Ashfield or Kirkby-in-Ashfield — a genuine gap in each case, not a research shortfall. The one tourism-board lead we checked and excluded outright was Waleswood Caravan and Camping Park, which is actually in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, not Nottinghamshire at all. Premier Inn and Travelodge branches exist across the county but are excluded throughout, as UK branches are assistance-dogs-only as standard.
A new room full of unfamiliar smells can take some adjusting to, especially after a day exploring somewhere new. A calming bite before you travel can help your dog settle in for that first night away. If the unsettled behaviour doesn’t ease once they’re used to a place, that’s worth a word with your vet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where’s best for dog-friendly accommodation in Nottinghamshire?
Forest Holidays at Sherwood Forest and The Bowman in Hucknall both have the clearest first-party published terms of anywhere in the county.
Is there dog-friendly accommodation in West Bridgford or Beeston?
We couldn’t confirm any in either town — a genuine gap, not just a thin lead.
Is Premier Inn dog-friendly in Nottinghamshire?
Not as standard. UK Premier Inns remain assistance-dogs-only, so we haven’t listed any Nottinghamshire branch as dog-friendly.
