Why we built this
I’m Georgiana. When we brought Figo home as a puppy, I spent hours in Facebook groups and old forum threads trying to work out which local trainer actually knew what they were doing and which just had a nice website. AboutDogs began as the list I wished I’d had. It has since grown to cover vets, swimming spots, sitters, groomers, rescues and pet transport too, though some parts of the country are better covered than others, and we say so on every page.
The trainers we list use reward-based, force-free methods, which is how we work with Figo. We also run Calmshops.co.uk, a shop for the dog gear we rate.
