Search for a dog walker in Buckinghamshire and you’ll mostly get marketplace sites like Pawshake, Gudog and BorrowMyDoggy, where anyone can list themselves with no vetting from us or from you beyond their own profile. We wanted a genuine standalone business with a track record, so here’s what we found.
Verified dog walker
CatnDogSitters, High Wycombe
Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (operator’s website), CatnDogSitters covers Hazlemere, High Wycombe, Amersham, Penn, Tylers Green and Beaconsfield. The business says it meets Buckinghamshire Council’s requirements for home boarding and has been doing that for over three years; it offers dog walking too, solo, paired or in small groups, with group walks starting from £17. No street address is published, so you’d arrange a meet-and-greet through the contact details on the site — the phone number listed is 07713 147930.
What we couldn’t confirm
Beyond High Wycombe and its immediate neighbours, we didn’t find a standalone, independently verifiable dog walking business covering Aylesbury, Amersham town centre on its own, Chesham or Milton Keynes. We checked named leads from general searches and they turned out to be marketplace profiles rather than registered businesses with their own site and address. If you run or know of a genuine local dog walking business in those towns, let us know and we’ll check it out.
Whoever walks your dog, a well-fitted harness makes handovers easier and safer for everyone involved.
