Search for a dog walker in Cambridgeshire and most results are marketplace listings on sites like Bark, Pawshake and BorrowMyDoggy, where anyone can list themselves without independent vetting. We wanted an established, standalone business, so here’s what we found.
Verified dog walker
White Wonders Ely Pet Services, Littleport
Based at Friars Way, Littleport, CB6 1LF (Google Maps, operator’s website), White Wonders Ely Pet Services covers Ely and the surrounding area, and has operated since 2015, originally as White Wonders Cambridge Pet Services. Dog walking is one of three services offered alongside dog training and pet sitting, with individual walks available. Prices for walking itself aren’t published online, so get in touch directly for current rates.
What we couldn’t confirm
Beyond Ely, we couldn’t confirm a standalone, independently verifiable dog walking business covering Cambridge, Peterborough, Huntingdon or St Ives. One name that looked promising, Cambridge Dog Walker Ltd, turned out on checking Companies House to have been dissolved back in 2017, so it’s no longer trading. Everything else we found in those towns was a marketplace profile rather than a registered business with its own site. If you run or know of a genuine local dog walking business there, let us know and we’ll check it out.
Whoever walks your dog, a well-fitted harness makes handovers easier and safer for everyone involved.
