Secure Dog Fields in Cornwall: Verified Private Dog Walking Fields

Cornwall has a genuinely good spread of private, securely fenced dog fields for hire — better than several counties we’ve covered so far. We started from the usual aggregator sites (DogFieldsNearMe, FidoFields and similar) but only counted a field as verified once we found the operator’s own website, booking system, or independent press/review coverage behind the listing.

Verified fields

Charwell Dog Adventures, Callington

At Callington, PL17 7HW (Google Maps), the strongest-verified field in this list: four themed paddocks (Agility, Enrichment, Adventure, plus an indoor facility), independently confirmed by local press coverage naming it the UK’s top dog park at the 2023 DogFriendly Awards, and a DogFriendly.co.uk business listing with 657 reviews. Booking is by enquiry via phone (07854 984572) or its own SimplyBook.it system, 8am to 10pm in 30-minute slots.

Kingfisher’s Rest Welly Walk, Newquay

Run by Knightswood Equestrian near Newquay (Google Maps, own site), a roughly 7-acre field of ancient woodland, wildflower meadow and a lakeside swimming lake, enclosed with specialist dog fencing around 5ft 6in high. Private use is £9–£13 for one to five dogs (£1 extra per dog); walkers/trainers/groups pay £11–£16. Booked online via Muddy Booking, 24 hours’ notice needed to change.

Merrins Meadow Dog Paddock, Tresillian, near Truro

At Tresillian, Truro, TR2 4AP (Google Maps, own site), a securely fenced and gated two-acre paddock. Fee not published online — book via the site’s own booking page or by email.

Polgoda Dogs Exercise Field, Zelah, near Truro

At Zelah, TR4 9HA (Google Maps, own site), roughly one acre enclosed with 2m galvanised wire with 50mm gaps, described as “virtually escape-proof.” Fee not published; book online via the site’s Appointy system.

Paws n Hooves Dog Walking Field, Sevenstones (A390, between Callington and Gunnislake)

On the A390 between Callington and Gunnislake (Google Maps, own site), roughly one acre enclosed with 6ft deer fencing with narrow rabbit-proof gaps. Booked online in 45-minute exclusive sessions plus a 10-minute buffer; the gate code is emailed an hour before your slot.

Boscarne Farm Dog Walking Field, near St Just

Near St Just, TR19 6EL (Google Maps, own online store), £8.50 for a 50-minute session with 24 hours’ notice required, booked via the farm’s own online store.

RSPCA Venton Centre, St Columb area

Run by the RSPCA Cornwall Branch, a registered charity, near St Columb (Google Maps). Listed from £5 per 30 minutes per an aggregator source, though the charity’s own page was unreachable when we checked — worth confirming the current price and exact address directly before visiting.

One further field, Hugus Hounds near Threemilestone, Truro, has its own dedicated website describing a roughly 3-acre field with 4.5–5ft fencing, but gives no price and no online booking mechanism beyond “contact us” — and we couldn’t find any independent corroboration (Google Business listing, Facebook, press). It may well be genuine; worth a direct call before relying on it.

What we excluded

Six further aggregator listings — Moorgate Dog Walking Field (Camelford), Secure Dog Park (St Erth), Grampound Dog Secure Walking Field (Truro), Beanos Ball Park (Helston), Ansum Dog Field (St Neot) and Dogs Run For Fun Field (Redruth) — are phone-only entries with no website, Google Business listing or Facebook activity we could find. None looked fabricated, and they may be genuine small operations, but a bare aggregator listing on its own doesn’t clear our verification bar.

None of the verified fields above sit over the Devon border — the Callington/Gunnislake-area sites are close to it but genuinely Cornwall-side. If you’ve walked your dog properly beforehand, our Cornwall dog walkers guide and local dog walks guide are the next places to look, and a calmer journey home is easier with the calming collars and treats at Calmshops — always worth checking with your vet first.
