Dog-Friendly Accommodation in Flintshire: Hotels, Camping & B&Bs

A dog lying comfortably on a hotel bed, illustrating dog-friendly accommodation in Manchester

Flintshire is honestly thin on dog-friendly hotels — the big chains tend to sit just over the border in Chester or Wrexham rather than inside the county itself — but there are a couple of genuinely verified farm campsites, and we’re telling you plainly where the gaps are rather than padding the list.

Camping and caravan parks

  • Fron Farm Caravan and Camping Park, Rhes Y Cae Road, Hendre, Mold, CH7 5QW — dogs welcome on a lead, £1.50 per dog per night, maximum 3 dogs per pitch, breed-specific legislation dogs not accepted, guide dogs free. A working farm site with an off-road dog walk nearby. Open 1 April to 31 October, tents/caravans/motorhomes only.
  • New Farm Caravan Park and Bungalow, Rhyddyn Hill, Caergwrle, LL12 9EE — dogs welcome on a short lead, £1 per dog per night, breed-specific legislation dogs excluded. This is an adults-only site, so it’s not the right fit if you’re travelling with children.

Lyons Point of Ayr Holiday Park, West Road, Talacre, CH8 9SA, markets itself generally as dog-friendly with direct beach access, but it’s a static-caravan ownership park (not a nightly-rate stay) and we couldn’t confirm a specific dog fee or limit beyond the general claim.

Hotels

We found no IHG, Accor or Travelodge hotel physically located inside Flintshire — the nearest branches of those chains sit over the border in Chester or Wrexham. Premier Inn’s general UK policy doesn’t allow dogs, so its branches aren’t listed here either.

Northop Hall Country House Hotel, Chester Road, Northop Hall, Mold, CH7 6HJ, lists a dog policy on its room pages (up to 2 dogs, £25 per pet per stay) — but its own FAQ page separately and flatly says “no” to pets, which is a genuine contradiction we couldn’t resolve from the website alone. Phone the hotel directly before booking on the strength of either answer. Beaufort Park Hotel, near Mold (CH7 6RQ), clearly has some dog-friendly offering — its FAQ page links out to a “Dog Friendly Accommodation” section — but states no concrete fee or terms, so call ahead (01352 758 646) rather than assume.

Where we couldn’t find anything to recommend

Flint, Holywell, Buckley, Connah’s Quay, Shotton, Deeside, Hawarden, Mynydd Isa, Saltney, Greenfield and Bagillt all came up empty for verified hotel, B&B or campsite accommodation — several are small residential or commuter towns without much of a hospitality sector at all, which is a genuine gap rather than a search failure on our part.
