Wiltshire has plenty of places that say yes to dogs, but far fewer that publish the small print. We found one property with a full dog policy on its own website, and a longer shortlist from Wiltshire Council’s accommodation page where fees and limits weren’t confirmed. We’ve kept those two groups apart, so you know which is which. Always check the fee and the number of dogs before you book.
Policy confirmed on the operator’s own site
The Lamb at Hindon (Hindon, SP3 6DP) is a Young’s pub with rooms. Its website says dogs are £25 per night for the room, charged once whether you bring one dog or two, with a maximum of two dogs per room. Dogs stay in designated dog-friendly bedrooms, must be on a lead in shared areas and can’t be left unsupervised. The site doesn’t say how many of the 18 rooms are dog-friendly, or whether dogs are allowed in the bar and restaurant, so ask when you book.

Listed as dog-friendly by Wiltshire Council
Wiltshire Council’s accommodation page lists these as dog-friendly: Timbrell’s Yard in Bradford-on-Avon, Fosse Farmhouse B&B in Nettleton, The Methuen Arms, Northey Arms and Quarryman Arms around Corsham, The Vale Hotel in Cricklade, Pettifers Freehouse Hotel in Crudwell, Beechfield House in Beanacre, Cocklebury Farm Holiday Lets and Willowbank Lodges near Pewsey, Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa in Warminster, The George Inn in Longbridge Deverill and The Pear Tree Inn in Whitley. We couldn’t confirm the fee, the dog limit or the room rules for any of them, and the page isn’t dated, so treat this as a shortlist to ring, not a promise.
Two more are partly confirmed. The brewery’s page for The Green Dragon in Market Lavington (SN10 4AG) welcomes “the pet dog” and the pub has five B&B rooms, but we couldn’t confirm whether dogs can stay in them. Church Farm Country Cottages in Winsley is described as dog-friendly on a Visit Somerset (Bath) listing. It’s in Wiltshire but marketed as Bath, so it’s a border case, and the fee and dog limit aren’t confirmed.
Leads we couldn’t verify
A Pitchup listing for Willowbank Lodges says up to two dogs, no extra charge, but that’s an aggregator, not the owner. The Bath Arms at Longleat and The Pear Tree at Purton appear on dog-friendly lists, but we couldn’t read their own policies. Premier Inn Salisbury is part of a chain that accepts dogs in some hotels, and we couldn’t retrieve its official page. Be careful with names: there are two different Pear Tree pubs, in Purton and Whitley, and several Green Dragons.
What we couldn’t cover
Several operator sites blocked our checks, and we found nothing usable for Swindon, Chippenham, Devizes, Marlborough, Trowbridge, Amesbury or Avebury. That’s a limit of our research, not proof there’s nothing there. Campsites and glamping sites that take dogs exist around Calne, Warminster, Melksham and Amesbury, but we couldn’t verify any named operator.
A new bed can unsettle even a seasoned traveller, and a calming bite may help take the edge off a strange room. If your dog struggles with travel, that’s one to raise with your vet. Once you’re booked, see our guide to dog-friendly pubs, cafés and restaurants in Wiltshire, and our Wiltshire dog services hub.
