Search for a dog walker in Cardiff and most results are marketplace listings on sites like Pawshake, Bark and Rover, where anyone can set up a profile without independent vetting. We wanted a genuine standalone business, so here’s what we found.
Verified dog walkers
Cardiff Dog Walker
Run by Heather since 2021 (operator’s website), Cardiff Dog Walker is a one-person business covering the Cardiff area. No street address is published, so arrange a meet-and-greet through the contact email on the site: heather@cardiffdogwalker.com. Prices aren’t shown on the homepage — the site describes them only as “competitive” — so check the Prices page or ask directly for current rates.
Lucy’s Leads Cardiff
At Hirst Crescent, Cardiff, CF5 3LH (Google Maps, operator’s website), Lucy’s Leads Cardiff offers dog walking, daycare and home boarding, and holds an animal boarding licence. It’s rated “Excellent” on Trustpilot from 16 reviews at the time of checking. Contact by phone on 07785 377110 or email info@lucysleadscardiff.co.uk for current rates.
Walkabouts Pet Services
At Neptune Court, 15 Neptune Court, Vanguard Way, Cardiff, CF24 5PJ (Google Maps, operator’s website), Walkabouts Pet Services offers group walks from £12 and solo walks from £18, plus daycare from £25. Contact Stephen on 07845 915155 or MJ on 07500 941130.
What we couldn’t confirm
We also looked at Friends for Pets, a franchise network with a Cardiff branch established in 2008, but couldn’t find an address, phone number or local registration detail specific to the Cardiff operation — only an enquiry form. Beyond that, everything else we found was a marketplace profile rather than an independently checkable business. If you run or know of another genuine local dog walking business in Cardiff, let us know and we’ll check it out.
