Dog Walkers in Fife

Fife turned out to have a genuinely strong story here, unlike some of the counties we’ve looked at recently. Alongside one dog walker we could verify ourselves, Fife Council runs its own inspection scheme for commercial dog walkers — a real, citable layer of vetting that not every council offers.

Pets on the Beach — Kelsie McDonald, serving Levenmouth, Glenrothes, the East Neuk and St Andrews. Dog walking and shoreline walks, day care, home boarding and pet sitting, with her own live website and a linked Facebook page. She’s also on Fife Council’s own approved list below.

Fife Council’s Dog Watch Fife scheme

Fife Council runs a voluntary inspection scheme for commercial dog walkers called Dog Watch Fife. Walkers register their business and service area with the council’s Safer Communities team, have their vehicle and set-up inspected, and are then listed for free on the council’s own page as approved. It’s a genuine council-run vetting layer, similar to schemes run by Dundee City and East Lothian — though it’s worth being clear that this is the council’s own inspection, not our independent verification of each walker’s current online activity.

Some of the current approved operators, by area:

  • Jemima Adam, Fife Doggy Homecare — Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, Lochgelly.
  • Meg Drummond, Brucehaven Pet Services — Dunfermline and the outskirts.
  • Emma Parkhill, Loved by Emma — Leven, Largo, Elie, St Monans, Anstruther, Cellardyke.
  • Claire Reynolds, Waggle and Woof — Dunfermline, Dalgety Bay, Duloch, Inverkeithing.
  • Sarah Scobie, Scobie’s Scampers — Auchtermuchty, Newburgh, Strathmiglo and the surrounding villages.
  • Emma McCracken, Maisie & Me — Rosyth, Dunfermline, Dalgety Bay.

The full current list of 22 approved operators is published on Fife Council’s own Dog Watch Fife page, which is worth checking directly for up-to-date contact details and coverage areas across the rest of the county.

Rover

We checked Rover for Fife and couldn’t find a UK Fife, Scotland profile at all through search — so there’s no Rover walker to name here.

Booking a dog walker is also a good time to think about anything that makes your dog anxious when you’re not there — our calming collars and treats can help with separation-related stress alongside a walker’s routine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Fife have any vetted or approved dog walkers?

Yes. Fife Council runs its own Dog Watch Fife inspection scheme, with 22 currently approved operators listed on the council’s own site, plus one walker we independently verified ourselves.

Is being on the Dog Watch Fife list the same as being independently verified by AboutDogs?

Not quite. It means the council has inspected that walker and their vehicle. We’ve independently verified one walker’s own website ourselves; for the rest, we’re pointing you to the council’s own vetting rather than claiming we checked each one personally.

Are there Rover dog walkers in Fife?

We couldn’t find a Fife, Scotland profile on Rover in this research pass.
