Secure dog fields are genuinely rare across historic Middlesex — dense outer-London boroughs don’t leave much room for fenced farmland the way rural counties do. We found exactly one currently-trading field across the whole area, with every national aggregator we checked coming back empty or pointing to the same single site.
Halo Dogs — Private Hire Secure Dog Park, Enfield
Holly Hill Farm, The Ridgeway, Enfield EN2 8AN — the business’s day care and dog hotel address; the private-hire field’s own page only says “the park is in Enfield” without restating a separate postcode, so treat this as almost certainly the right site rather than fully pinned down. Described as a “spacious, enclosed field” with “fully enclosed secure fencing for complete peace of mind,” though no exact size or fence height is published. The operator’s own site carries one of the clearest sole-use statements we’ve seen on this kind of page: “Exclusive use — no other dogs or people during your booking.” Sessions run 30-60 minutes. Price isn’t published; enquire via the site’s contact form, by phone on 020 8367 7899, or by emailing mypet@halodogs.co.uk.
Everywhere else: a genuine gap
We checked Harrow, Uxbridge, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Brentford, Isleworth, Twickenham, Teddington, Hampton, Feltham, Staines-upon-Thames, Sunbury-on-Thames, Edgware, Harefield, Ruislip, Pinner, Wembley, Southgate, Finchley, Hendon, Tottenham and Edmonton against every major national secure-dog-field directory, and none returned a genuine, in-scope listing. One directory’s own summary shows exactly one private-hire field logged against “Greater London” countywide — almost certainly the Halo Dogs field above, rather than a second option we missed. We also checked just over the historic boundary, around Potters Bar, South Mimms and Elstree, in case a near-the-boundary alternative existed the way it often does in rural counties — nothing concrete turned up there either.

A secure field gives a reactive or nervous dog proper off-lead time without worrying about who else might turn up. If yours still takes a while to settle even with the field to themselves, a calming bite before the session can help take the edge off, alongside whatever training you’re already working through. For ongoing reactivity, talk to your vet or a qualified behaviourist.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a secure dog field in historic Middlesex?
Just the one we could verify — Halo Dogs in Enfield, which explicitly guarantees exclusive use of the field during your booking. Every other town we checked came back as a genuine gap.
Does Halo Dogs guarantee sole use of the field?
Yes — its own site states plainly: “Exclusive use — no other dogs or people during your booking.”
Why are secure dog fields so rare in Middlesex?
It’s a densely built-up outer-London area with little of the spare farmland that rural counties use for this kind of fenced field, so genuine options are limited.
