Dog Walkers in Aberdeenshire: Three Google-Rated Walkers to Meet

Owner walking a dog along a park path

Aberdeenshire is a big county, and a good walker has to actually cover your village. Figo and I checked Google Maps and three businesses pass our bar: a listing, their own website and at least 10 reviews. All three are rated 5.0. We haven’t tested any of them, so treat this as a shortlist to meet, and ask each one to confirm they cover your area.

Who we left out

Mucky Pawz (Hatton of Fintray, 5.0 from 17 reviews) only lists a Facebook page, so it missed our own-website rule. Hiking Tails Dog Walking Services (4.8 from 24) and Doggy Walkies (5.0 from 13) have Google listings, but we couldn’t confirm which town they cover, so we haven’t listed them. Walkers based in Aberdeen city are on our Aberdeen dog walkers page.

What to ask before you hand over a key

Ask for proof of insurance, how many dogs walk together, where they walk, and whether they will meet you and your dog first. If your dog finds new people a lot, a calming bite on handover days may help, though for ongoing anxiety, speak to your vet. More local ideas are on our Aberdeenshire dog services page.

If you’d like to exercise your dog yourself, our Aberdeenshire secure dog fields are a good starting point, and our Aberdeen dog trainers directory can help with recall.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there dog walkers in Aberdeenshire?

Yes. Whiskers & Tails and Simply Dogs Alford are in Alford, and Active Paws is near Laurencekirk. All three have a Google listing, their own website and at least 15 reviews. We haven’t tested any of them.

How do I know a walker covers my village?

A Google listing shows where a business is based, not where it will travel. Message them with your postcode and ask, along with insurance and group sizes.
