Secure Dog Fields in Surrey

Dog standing in an open grassy field

Surrey has four secure dog fields we could confirm from the operators’ own pages, in Chertsey, Horley, Redhill and Send. A longer list appears on directories, but we couldn’t verify those individually. Prices and availability change, so check before you travel.

Verified fields

Mugford’s Meadow, Ruxbury Farm, St Ann’s Hill Road, Chertsey KT16 9NL, run by Company of Animals. Eight fully fenced acres, booked online by the hour: £15 for one to four dogs, £20 for five or six, £25 for seven or eight. Maximum four dogs per handler, with a water tap and paddling pool on site. The page said the field was closed until further notice because of motorway bridge works, and we couldn’t confirm the date or whether it has reopened, so check before you book.

Dog running freely in a secure, fenced dog field

A Dog’s Life Adventure Field, Hookwood, just north of Horley. Six acres with a 6ft fence and coded gate, plus climbing apparatus, log piles, a sand pit and an optional swimming pond. £15 per hour, from 6am with the last booking at 7pm, maximum six dogs. The operator describes its fence as standard deer fencing, so very small dogs may slip through. Its Gatwick-side location means the postcode is close to West Sussex, so check the address. A Dog’s Life Discovery Field, Cross Oak Lane, Salfords near Redhill, offers eight acres in two hedge-divided fields on the same terms; the front can flood in heavy rain. Book at adogslife-walk.co.uk or on 07973 965453.

Off The Lead Freedom Field, just off the A3 at Send, near Ripley. Five fully fenced acres with private parking, agility and parkour kit and paddling pools. £13 per hour, booked through Calendly with pre-payment, or on 07711 923 718. We couldn’t read its terms page.

Leads we couldn’t check

Dog-field directories list Fox Platt Farm (Redhill, reported at £10 per hour for up to four dogs), The Oaks (South Nutfield), Grow Walkies at Chiddingfold, The Dog Field Company (Guildford), Carewell Canines (Lingfield), Furry Friends Freedom Field and Gatton Gait (both Reigate), Its The Dogs Meadow (West Horsley), Northlands Meadows (Charlwood), Paddock & Padlock (Send) and Surrey Secure Dog Walking Field (Lightwater). None had an operator page we could read, so treat them as leads. A proposed bookable field near Dormansland was at planning stage when it was reported, so we haven’t listed it.

Border cases and look-alikes

Fields in Liss and East Meon are in Hampshire, and a recreation centre at Chessington is in Greater London, so we’ve left them out. Surrey Hills Dog Park near Shere is a public park rather than private hire.

A secure field is a lovely place for a reactive or nervy dog to run without surprise visitors. A calming bite can help take the edge off the journey there. If reactivity is a regular issue, that is worth discussing with your vet or a qualified trainer.
